AR-Showrooms: a new way to present products
AR / VR Labs
Brands presenting physical products at trade shows and in sales meetings are limited by geography and by how many people can be in the room at once. The AR-Showroom was built to remove that constraint, letting brands present products and services to people wherever they are.
The AR-Showroom is built on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Spaces XR platform. It lets multiple people engage together with realistic 3D augmented reality models, using animations and interactions to explain products, and its 5G remote-sharing capability means participants don't need to be in the same location. Typical use cases include sales - a pocket-sized showroom accessible with a small pair of AR glasses such as the Lenovo ThinkReality A3 - and instructions and training, where features can be demonstrated with animation and interaction. MSM.digital delivers the AR-Showroom as a white-label solution: clients can license the full app with custom UI/UX, or the multi-user SDK to build into their own app.
The first shared, local-and-remote multi-user technology built on Snapdragon Spaces premiered at MWC 2023, and Lufthansa, BORA, and Lenovo have adopted the AR-Showroom.
I've been working in the XR space since 2012, but the reaction to our AR-Showroom from clients, partners, and customers who had that shared, immersive experience was one of the best I've ever witnessed.
