Maxi Graeff, Integrated Marketing Lead Xbox DACH at Microsoft, had a concept built around the idea that gaming and music belong together, aimed at reaching Gen Z — a notoriously hard audience to reach. To bring it to life she needed the right (role) model in front of the camera, a capable photo team behind it, and reliable project management. That's why she came to us. Our task: find, brief, and supervise the model; organize and run the photo shoot; set the scene for Microsoft's limited-edition Xbox Series S-inspired cassette player; define the style and design of the photos; and create the resulting assets for Xbox's social media channels across EMEA — all within four weeks from brief to the first shutter click.
We drew on our network of influencer agencies and production teams to cast model and roller-skate trainer Oumi Janta, whose style and background fit the early-90s concept exactly.
For the shoot, we traveled with our photo crew, several stylists, and the client to a Berlin-based photo studio to set the scene for the Xbox Series S-inspired cassette player, placing it alongside the Xbox Series S console.
The shoot produced a large selection of images, from which the final motifs were selected for Xbox's social media channels on Twitter and Instagram.
Passion Meets Professionalism Managing this project was a highlight of our year. Oumi Janta brought the 90s-vibe set-up to life, setting the perfect scene for the Xbox cassette player — a project we'd be glad to do again.
