Dedicated product displays in key stores

After major strategic and organizational changes narrowed its focus to a few selected products, Parrot needed to win back its place as a leading consumer drone brand at retail — in a category mostly dominated by one premium competitor. That meant convincing retail buyers store by store to support the product, and backing that up with an eye-catching product presentation that could immediately draw in customers.
Getting dedicated shelf space was the first challenge to tackle. Rather than simply selling in product, our approach was to convince retail buyers of the revenue potential Parrot products offered when marketed correctly. We worked with the sales team to identify the key target stores driving the bulk of the category's revenue potential, then led negotiations at the cluster and store level and arranged product and sales training so staff could sell the products effectively.
Within the first eight weeks, the team secured dedicated shelf presence with POS displays and appropriate stock in most targeted stores, and opened up several stores that had until then sold only the dominant competitor's drones with no alternative available at all.
With our approach, we secured Parrot the shelf space, and the customer awareness, its products needed. That's the crucial first step in the customer journey that drives sales.
