Improving and managing Ring's in-store presence
Channel Marketing
Ring's smart home products need explaining to sell — customers rely on knowledgeable staff to understand the benefits, and products need to be visible and in stock the moment a purchase decision is made. Ring needed all three of those pieces (visibility, staff knowledge, and availability) working together to improve its in-store performance, so it brought MSM.digital in to build and manage that presence.
A dedicated field team of product experts visits stores regularly to identify and address improvement opportunities as they come up. The team works with department managers on ideal shelf placement, supported by display installations tailored to each store's layout, and runs ongoing product and sales training so staff can make credible, informed recommendations to customers.
Working with buyers, the team also defines individual stock levels per product and store, improving shelf-space effectiveness and reducing returns of old stock by planning demand around each location and customer profile.
Working directly with individual store managers on the right setup for their location went a long way toward sustainably increasing store presence and sell-through.
