Schleich is one of Germany’s leading toy manufacturers and is well-known for their high-quality animal figures which are loved by children all over the world. For their HORSE CLUB toy line, Schleich was looking for new and innovative ways to present it at the POS, to intensify customer relationships, and to stimulate sales.
Hence, the idea of the “HORSE CLUB Tour” was born: a campaign combining the creativity of children with state-of-the-art augmented reality techniques.
The HORSE CLUB Tour has been drawing the attention of children as well as grown-ups alike at selected premium retail partners all over Germany. The installation is powered by our inhouse AR technology which makes the transition from analog asset to virtual toys work like child’s play.
The underlying principle of the installation is as simple as it is innovative: Children design their own horse and bring it to life in digital form at the touch of a button. They can color a picture of a horse in any way they like, scan it directly at the POS display and then see their individual creation come to virtual life on a digital screen. By combining this with an activation to share photos of the unique creations on social media, we expand it to additional digital touchpoints and increase awareness and reach even beyond the POS.
